Mothling Pilgrims
Mothling Pilgrims are a group of Mothlings dedicated to observing the teachings of their Archfae, Tympi. They show this dedication by traveling The Gates and helping those in need while welcoming outsiders with open arms the way she did.
Their path always causes them to return to Tympi's Forest the week leading up to Nurend 12 so that they can travel their home in search of more folks in need on and around the anniversary of her disappearance 50 years ago.
They all wear very pious looking robes complete with ropes and bells which ring as they fly so that they can attract more attention from, or alert their presence to, anyone in need. Some also carry larger bells attached to staves or ropes.
History
Before Tympi disappeared on Nurend 12, 258, Mothling Pilgrims were far more rare. Even rarer were mothling pilgrims that returned to their home. They were still pious and dedicated to Tympi's core teachings, but they were also seen as oddities that, despite outward appearances of their bretheren, were not always truly welcomed back into the Mothlights should they ever return. Additionally, The Gates can be an incredibly dangerous place to those not used to traveling it, and mothlings that are raised almost entirely within the protection of the mothlights can be caught off guard.
Since Tympi's disappearance, they do still travel The Gates, but they now return home once a year to pay tribute to her near the anniversary of that event. Finding a pilgrim in Tympi's Forest becomes incredibly likely leading up to and right after Nurend 12, and those that have found themselves lost should always listen for their bells.
The Spiritual Tourists encountered a group of 5 pilgrims on Nurend 13, 308. Of these five most of them fleed at the sight of Kaswink due to a rather ungraceful introduction, but thanks to the efforts of Agave and Hysteria two of the pilgrims (named Mari and Tambi) remained and begged for forgiveness for treating anyone so poorly. They have mentioned that they have a way to return to the Mothlights, but that it requires a great deal of Mothlight Bean Vodka...and Agave's supply is running low.
