Spenolt's River

Misery is the River of the World.

Spenolt's River is a river in The Gates. It runs from West to East and runs the entire length of the known area. Where it drains from is currently unknown, however, it is known to drain into the Lake where The Writer saw a massive, slowly moving Gyre where Spenolt and several Jellyfish vanished from the Gates 50 years ago. It is located on the northern border of Tympi's Forest and the southern border of The Badlands.
Not much is currently known about the river by the Spiritual Travelers besides the fact that you should not drink alcoholic beverages near the river. Why this is is fairly unknown as all Croak was able to say was that you "might get pulled in, might get pulled up... or any number of other things could happen."
