Strange Gem

The Strange Gem was discovered by Hysteria while the Spiritual Travelers were exploring The Prison Beneath Thera Relovut. It was inside a small chest, inside a desk drawer in the office. This chest had a distorted rhombus with a circle in the middle carved into its lid, coming from each side of the rhombus were three archs of increasing size similar to sound waves.
This gem was described as having what appeared to be equal parts sapphire and emerald combined into a sort of "swirly, spotted pattern", and it is about 11 inches long by 5 inches wide. It is shaped like a distorted rhombus and has an orb at its center.

Inside the same chest that it was found in, Hysteria also discovered a folded up bit of parchment which was later unfolded to reveal a map. This map leads to a location near Thera Relovut, about a day's journey north, and it has a symbol at the spot it leads to that resembles the same symbol found on the chest the gem was in.

Some theories about this marker have sprung up including that it might lead to a gate to another realm. It was suggested that it might be the Spiral Gate that DAN Wildcloak was looking for, though that gate was described as being less physical and more of a mental state...unless you get lucky with the Slow Gyre.
