The Prison Beneath Thera Relovut
The Prison Beneath Thera Relovut is a location in Tympi's Forest. As the name suggests, it is located beneath Thera Relovut.
It was first discovered by the Spiritual Travelers on Nurend 15, 308 after they were arrested by Ilven's guards shortly after she disappeared.
On Daulok 02, 308, the Spiritual Travelers tried to teleport into this prison yet again, however, it seemed to no longer exist as the spell just planted them somewhere nearby. The prison was seen by Frode and Kaswink while they had enough fear. Most of the cells were unable to be seen into or out of as they were reserved for those that, again, were terrified of this spirit.
Kaswink was able to get through the bars of her prison and explore. In doing so she found the chains that she failed to remove last time, and she pulled them free of the wall, mission accomplished. These chains, as they were broken and pulled free, caused Kaswink to hear the sound of screaming coming from the voices of strangers, herself and her friends. Pulling them free also damaged the prison walls which helped Frode get free as well.
The prison has a warden's office which had a desk covered in books, book shelves and three paintings. The painting behind the desk shows a figure similar to the Statue that was seen on the surface. The figure is standing in this depiction however, and has one straight leg, one leg bent with the foot braced against the knee of the straight leg, and their arms are bent slightly to either side. Their hands are angled forward, towards the perspective of the painter, fingers half making a fist and half pointing in different directions. Their eyes are closed, relaxed, and a beautiful scene of flowers and generic forest plants surround them with stone structures in the background. A painting on another wall shows a humanoid figure, dressed in some high-end and traditional elven garb, his ears are slightly pointed unlike the statue or the painting behind the desk. There are no features showing an environment, just a black background typical when painting someone’s bust. He’s wearing a grey crown, and his eyes are black pits with a spark at their center which almost looks like it’s miles away. The painting on the last wall shows some similar sights of the nearby forest. The subject of the painting appears to be a group of settlers constructing several structures. More finished buildings also have robed figures painting or doing more detailed work. It’s not entirely clear what they are doing exactly, but some arcane runes can be seen thanks to the details the painter put in.

Purpose / Function
This prison was designed with the purpose of holding prisoners. It also has an office on the southern side which contained some valuable information about the past. This office likely belonged to a warden or some general leader of whatever group originally built the prison as it had a ledger for different prisoners, their sentences and the reason for their imprisonment along with any behavior notes.
The chains attached to each cell's floor appear to resist any physical attempts to remove them depending on the thoughts of the person hoping to remove them. Kaswink nearly removed them from the ground, but something in her mind told her "she shouldn't do this". This suggests that perhaps they were designed with the intent to hold more intelligent creatures.
Architecture
The architecture within this prison is quite different when compared to the rest of Thera Relovut or even the rest of what the Spiritual Travelers have seen in the forest so far. The walls are all stone, very solidly built, with iron bars for doors. The crafting process reminded both DAN Wildcloak and Hysteria of older Elven architecture.
Defenses
Some of the walls of this prison, particularly the ones with chains attached, appear to be magically imbued with some bizarre defense mechanism. Intelligent creatures are warned that they "Should not being doing this" when they attempt to damage or remove the chains. Kaswink learned of this and continued trying to dig them out or to dig through the wall they were attached to.
As she continued digging she experienced a worse and worse headache while feeling more and more fatigued. She was also damaged psychically to the point that she collapsed, unconscious. Attempting to think about the chains throughout all this was also incredibly difficult.
History
From what was learned in the books found in the office, this prison was part of a settlement that was being built by some elves long ago. They were building this settlement with the hopes of transporting it to different realms, particularly between the Spirit World and Taranel.
They ended up giving up on this goal and having to return to Taranel through some other means. The reason for their need to stop was unclear, but the Mysterious Journal entries suggest that they were fighting some enemy that seemed stronger the more they knew about it.
These elves apparently had...something that they needed a map to find. A map along with a Strange Gem was found in a desk drawer inside the office.
