Tea Set of the Three Bells

The Tea Set of the Three Bells is a trio of items that forms what The Citizens of Greed called a "priceless artifact". Each piece of the set is a one of a kind item, and they were all purchased from these same Citizens of Greed.   Namina first purchased the Teapot of the Third Bell and Teacups of the First Bell sometime during downtime after Nurend 31, 308. She acquired the saucers on Daulok 07, 308 after a long talk with Croak in the DINER.   The "three bells" reference several things including common symbolism related to Zvuk, the Smrtohnya of Sound. There were also three glass bells of indeterminate, though massive, size floating high in the air of Kaswink's vision of The Resonating Gate. Additionally, when Namina spoke with the bell spirit while looking for answers about The Unblinking Sein she heard the information coming from three different sources.   Description of Zvuk: They are usually referred to as being completely in harmony with everything around them, resonating well with other Smrtohnya, and are usually depicted as being multiple people, though never more than three at a time. They are revered by musicians, dancers and certain scholars. They usually accept offerings in the form of songs, glass objects, bells, and glass bells are particularly popular. Their symbolism includes "three glass bells aranged in an equilateral triangle formation" and "waves or ripples cascading out from three distinct points at a 150 degree angle."
Teacups of the First Bell
A set of twelve bell-shaped teacups made of crystal glass. Each has its own unique design consisting of fractaling diamonds of different sides. Some have the smallest diamonds at the bottom with the largest at the top in a fine gradient, others are reversed from that or start out at the center instead. Despite all their differences, the teacups all seem to fit together and are definitely a set.   When tea is poured into a cup it begins to ring with a very soft note. It can still be heard when polite discussions are being had or, of course, in complete silence, but it is easily drowned out if things become too excited. If the tea is poured from the Teapot of the Third Bell, then the third part of the harmony is sustained within the tea as it is poured. This creates a harmony within the teacup which gently rings until the tea is drank or cools over time.   Tea poured into these cups can make everyone feel grounded. There's a level of comfort that comes from each cup, but something about it seems incomplete. Other people, the ones around you, and the world that exists beyond and within them are all disconnected. Perhaps there are more components to help it all make sense somewhere in the world.
Saucers of the Second Bell
A set of twelve crystal glass saucers. Each saucer consists of several concentric diamonds at the center of the plate within a small divot designed to hold a teacup. Around the divot are ripples that end at the rim of the plate. The rim is slightly curved upward with sporadic, flat parabolas in otherwise mostly empty space.   When a cup filled with hot tea is placed on the saucer, the saucer begins to ring with a very soft note that is perceptible only by a person drinking tea from a cup that has rested on the saucer. The ringing peresists even when the saucer is being held by a guest, and the note can be felt throughout the body of whoever holds it.   At first they seem to be mundane as nothing rings, but as tea is consumed or as the saucer is held, the note it plays becomes more clear. Sips and idle chatter cause the note to ring louder, and it vibrates throughout your entire body. As more tea is drank, and more discussions are had, a subtle "knowledge" is gained that everyone else is feeling or hearing this as well. A sense of community, that everyone else is resonnating with each other can be had, but it is also missing something. The world and a sense of grounding within yourself are both absent, and it is apparent that this is only a part of a harmony. Perhaps there are more components to help it all make sense somewhere in the world.
Teapot of the Third Bell
An oddly shaped teapot made of crystal glass. It has a fractal diamond pattern leading from the base and up to about the midway point of the body. The pattern starts out very tightly oriented and expands to be just a few diamonds by the time it reaches the center. The base is far more narrow than normal teapots as it almost comes to a point. To remain upright or for heating purposes, it has a wire stand that gently holds it without interfering with its sound. The top is similarly shaped though not as small as it leads up into a lid, it almost looks like a slightly distorted diamond. It has a gooseneck spout which is similarly covered in fractal diamonds. It looks like it would hold enough water to serve about 12 cups of tea.   As the water heats it begins to start ringing. A long sustained note is emitted from all points, very quiet and soothing, and as the water boils the typical high-pitched noise of a kettle is replaced with just louder resonance similar to what was heard before.   When tea is made in this teapot it seems to bring the whole world together. Its sound resonates with all of nature, the air, and it reminds you that you are surrounded even if you are alone. However, it also feels like the third part of a harmony. Without the root note and middle it feels…incomplete. Perhaps there are more components to help it all make sense somewhere in the world.
