Ulunor's Hair

Great in Stews! - The Writer

Ulunor's Hair is a common mushroom found throughout The Gates.
The Writer encountered this mushroom during his journey through the Spirit World.
The Spiritual Travelers encountered this mushroom during their first venture into Tympi's Forest on Nurend 04, 308. It was collected by Agave while scouting, and he gave it to the group's botanist, DAN Wildcloak, for further study. It has yet to be fully analyzed or utilized in any recipes by them as of this time.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Ulunor's Hair is a rather small mushroom, only 1-2 inches tall, and it rises to a tip with strands of shimmering blue hair that cascade from its cap. These "hairs" are how it earned its name, though The Writer never did record who exactly Ulunor is...if they even ever learned who they are.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Ulunor's Hair is very versatile and can be easily used in a wide variety of dishes. Gormonds suggest removing the hairs before cooking the mushrooms as the hairs should be used as a garnish or in poultices and potions.
With the hairs removed the mushrooms become incredibly flavorful when cooked though they do not overtake any other flavors in a dish. They tend to prefer the "background", acting as a stage that the rest of the dish can rest on while lifting up the main stars of the show.
