Personal history
Iris lived in the Baumwald forest for most of her early life. Being a fairy, she knows how to find natural portals to the Fey realm, and spent some time there in the Summer Court under the kind rule of Queen Titania. Driven by her curiosity, she spent lots of time exploring the forest, and through that learned much about its plants and animals. On one of her trips, she ran into a young Elf woman with long silver hair. Trying to observe her from a distance, Iris was surprised when the Elf called her over. Shy at first, Iris eventually opened up to her, learning her name was Lucetta and quickly becoming friends.
The two of them had many visits over the next few years. Iris would tell Lucetta about her adventures in the forest and the Fey, and Lucetta would tell stories of the wonderous cities outside of the forest. On one visit, Lucetta seemed bothered by something, though she would not say why. Before they parted, Lucetta revealed that she was a Silver Dragon taking the guise of an Elf. She gifted Iris one of her scales, and told her that she may have to leave the forest soon and that if they didn't meet again, they would remain friends. This would unfortunately be the case, as Iris found Lucetta's grove abandoned the next day. Saddened by the disappearance of her friend, she wandered the woods until she came upon a road. Seeing a group of travelers coming her way, she hid in the canopy. One of the travelers dropped a silvery ring, and Iris' curiosity led her to grabbing it. She shadowed the party for a while, before the man who dropped the ring spotted her. Unwilling at first to part with the shiny ring, the large man traded her a golden locket. Finding the group to be friendly, she decided to travel with them for a time. She hoped to see the wonders of civilization that Lucetta told her about, and to possibly find her friend in the process.
