Rivis Rightby
The figure of Rivis Rightby seems shrouded in myth and conjecture. All that can be said for certain is that by consensus he is the finest bladesmith that ever lived (at least in Vallance). His skill was such that many believe he had divine or magical powers. His masterwork blades are rare and should they appear on the open market they go for 100 to 400 times the price of a normal blade of that type. It is thought among swordsmiths that he had rediscovered some ancient source of knowledge long thought lost which would account for the lightness, strength and remarkable sharpness or his weapons. It is said he vanished some years back, most think he has been engaged exclusively by the Archduke, willingly or not. His forge remains vacant to this day and has become a place of pilgrimage for all manner of swordsmiths, some even leave offerings as if he were a god.
A famous blacksmith, thought to have crafted Ragnorak the Deathdealer.
He also crafted a rapier owned by Slade the Bard, valued at the time at 100gp.
