Thieves' Guildhouse

A large, imposing house of dark grey stone dominates the north side of Cutpurse Alley. An ancient building layered with soot and grime. There is something ominous about it's wide, open doorway. An open door on a street where commonly all doors are kept shut, if not locked and bolted. The common crowd of labourers, fishwives and cockers seem to shy away from the entrance not daring to look into it's gaping mouth. Accosting a passer-by you demand to know the nature of the place that seems to strike fear in the locals. The first fellow shakes his head and hurries on while the second looks around nervously before muttering "The Guild you fools. THE GUILD!" before moving on his way. From this you must infer that building houses the infamous Thieves' Guild. Unsure what to do with this nugget of knowledge you decide to proceed along the way.
Thieves are often seen on the rooftops of the guildhouse and surrounding buildings.
