The Laughing Lapis

The warmth of an everburning flame in the hearth is welcoming the adventurers to this cozy establishment as instruments float about the corner of the tavern, humming a pleasant tune to the evening crowd despite their lack of players.

Many tables adorn this private place, left open only to the members of the Guild, and those who work with them, and is overseen by it's patron hostess Fortuna, the wildhaired and sharp tongued pink tiefling manning the bar.

Adorned on an oak sign by the door is the visage of a laughing blue rabbit, holding a tankard of ale the size of itself and the rules of the establishment.

• Don't start anything you can't finish.
• Pay your tab on time.
• Don't break the bar.
• Fortuna is the boss.

Purpose / Function

The Laughing Lapis is a bustling tavern nestled inside The Guild of Misfits & Majesty. Its main purpose is to give a place for the Guild members to get food easily each day. Though, the second purpose is to also give a place for them to relax in between missions and to be able to share their stories in a comfortable establishment.

Design

The Laughing Laps is rather large for a tavern, and it is fair since it is inviting all members of the Guild.
The floor is made with wood and decorated with a large red rug by the entry. The interior is adorned with a mishmash of artifacts, maps, and trophies from far-off lands, each telling a story of daring escapades, probably from Fortuna.

Entries

The establishment has some windows, giving a view outside to the Guild's garden. It possesses 2 entries:

• The main entry: This is where anyone can access the tavern. A wooden door locks the tavern when it is closed.
• The fireplace entry: As most places inside the Guild, the fireplace allows to get access to Patron Pax's office.

The tavern also possesses a third way of passage using Fortuna's quarters, but they are restricted.

Sensory & Appearance

The Laughing Lapis offers a welcoming warm atmosphere. Typically, the tavern smells of nice hearty stews, freshly baked bread, and spiced mead, as well as sweet alcohol.
The air resonates with the lively chatter of adventurers intermingling with the melodies of the numerous flying instruments where it isn't a member of the Guild performing on stage.

Denizens

Hope is somewhat of a denizen in the Laughing Lapis, as she sometimes work to help her mother. Other than her, the other adventurer Precious is often found there as she perfoms and assists Fortuna.
The tavern is rather clean so there are no reports of vermins wandering in it.

Contents & Furnishings

The Laughing Lapis is known for its diverse and flavorful meals designed to cater to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. It offers a satisfying array of options for guild members seeking a respite from their adventures or their hard work. However, the tavern is mostly known for its beverages with magical properties.
The menu changes depending on the food delivered from Haven, therefore each week is different. Here is a selection of foods and drinks available in the Laughing Lapis.

Architecture

The Laughing Lapis looks like it is made out of wood and stone, much like the rest of the Guild. It is vast, with enough rooms to fill at least 60 people.
The place contains rows of table to sit, a wooden bar to order the food and even a place to perform for the creative souls wanting to put on a show.
It is decorated simply, though some trophies show Fortuna's prouesse in adventuring. The symbol of the tavern is the face of a laughin blue rabbit holding a tankard, that can be seen on an oak sign.
