Fortuna (/ˈfoɹt͡ʃunə/)
Fortuna is the owner and barkeep of the Laughing Lapis, the only tavern in the Guild's proximity. She is known to make food for the adventurers, but she provides magical drinks for those who dare to try it.
She used to work for the Guild before retiring. Her trauma made it difficult for her to continue her job as a adventurer and therefore, she chose to become a barkeep at the Guild. That way, she is able to keep an eye out for her niece, Hope, current adventurer in the Guild.

Personal history
Fortuna used to be an assassin in the first adventuring group of the Guild [1]. She has been on many missions with her team. It has been mentioned of dragons, maybe this how her fear started (speculations).
According to some of the notes in the archives, Fortuna left the Guild in 1508. The reason seemed to have been redacted. She eventually came back a few months afterwards and decided to open The Laughing Lapis and ran it, hoping to get more time with her niece.
Edit of 12/18/1511: The mission that happened on the 11th of Nightfal 1511 was able to shine some light as the relationship between Fortuna and Hope. Fortuna is Hope's mother, not an aunt. It is noted that, due to Divine intervention, Hope's appearance was changed to be similar to an Aasimar. The same intervention managed to create gaps in Hope's memory, remembering her mother as the goddess Sune rather than her real mother Fortuna.

Fortuna used to be part of the Guild of Misfits & Majesty as an assassin rogue. However, due to personal trauma, she decided to retire as an adventurer and work as a barkeep.
As the owner of the tavern, Fortuna makes food and drinks. Be careful, her brews are magical and each one has a random effect. The adventurers seem to appreciate that fact since the tavern is never truly empty.
Failures & Embarrassments
She has already attacked a Patron once. According to the words of the witnesses, she knocked a Patron out after they attempted to eat an adventurer's pet. Fortuna didn't seem to receive any punishment from the Guild as it was considered justified.
Mental Trauma
It seems she has seen the attack of dragons on a city. Ever since these events, Fortuna developed an intense fear of dragons, also known as Dracophobia. Loud noises seem to also trigger a fear response from Fortuna.
Edit of 12/18/1511: Her daughter Hope was killed by a white dragon in a previous mission. Even though she returned to her mother, it doesn't seem that it cured Fortuna's fear.

It is really strange to write about Miss Fortuna but it is what the Guild wants. Though, I am unsure as to why they put me in the drafting of the article. Mister Silverblood knows her far better than I do. I guess he is busy with much more important work.
