Archaenus

The oldest of the four Hellecian progenitors, Archaenus is the proud and arrogant son of Zeus who uses his charisma and strength as captain of the guard on Karoj-Menos to get whatever he wants.

Believing himself to be a god, Archaenus receives a rude awakening when he nearly kills his twin-brother Iodium. Upon discovering his true lineage, he rallies his many offspring: the Archaenids and his siblings to form the Patrokonoi-Hellecia to overthrow the Pantheon.

However, he won't live to see the glory of the invasion. His favorite son and heir-apparent King Thesacles will lead the Archaenids and form the backbone of what will become the Delothian Collective.

Birth:

Same as his twin-brother Iodium, Archaenus is born from one of Hera's eggs transplanted by their real mother Hellestine inside Zeus' lover.

Discovering Zeus' infidelity, Hera steals the twins and is ready to toss them into Tartarus. When the jealous goddess looks into their eyes and recognizes them as her biological children.

She raises the twins like her own. However, Archaenus takes after his father Zeus and the two become inseparable.

Spoiling his son rotten, Zeus gave Archaenus whatever his heart desires: Captainship of the guard, flying chariots, servants, riches, even naming Athena as the boy's personal tutor. Grooming him to be the heir over all creation with constant trips to Hades, Poseidon, and the Sky (just inside the protective atmosphere).

While many scolded the King of the Gods for placing so much trust in the boy. Archaenus turned out to be a natural at everything he did.

And with this confidence, Archaenus let it all go to his head. Demanding to be treated like a god by every living being; including Hera and his meeker twin-brother (which he picked on relentlessly).

Adulthood:

One day, Archaenus challenged his brother to a race. Asking him to pick whichever flying chariot and Myquestrian suited him.

However, Iodium didn't just beat him. He lapped the shamed god-child several times over.

Receiving praise from all of his friends, a jealous Archaenus struck his brother in the head with a rock. Believing the injury was nothing, Archaenus was shocked to find that he nearly killed Iodium.

Not that he was remorseful for what he'd done. Rather he was shocked to learn he wasn't a god (if he and Iodium were twin brothers).

To appease Hera (for injuring her favorite son) and Hades, Zeus had his favorite son to guard Iodium as he drove their flying chariot on missions for the gods to pay off their debts.

Seeing his assignment as a waste of time, Archaenus pushed his brother around to stop at various stops to indulge in pleasures. However, the shock of learning he wasn't a god tugged at his mind.

After months of listening to Iodium's mumbling in his sleep, he began taking in his lessons from Athena and running experiments. He eventually learned not only about the Cycle of the CHONPS and the various CHONPS Spectral Elements that made up the twins (mostly Hydrogen).

But also of the greater universe outside the atmosphere of Karoj-Menos (taught from the Gods that nothing exists in the skies of Karoj-Menos).

Pushing his brother to bend the rules and leave the confines of the planet, the twins found themselves wandering the galaxy and interacting with alien life on the primordial planets of the future Hellecian Sector.

For the next several centuries, Archaenus would drag Iodium along to hop from planet-to-planet. Spreading his influence and genetic material everywhere he went (eventually making the Archaenids the largest and most robust of the Hellecian tribes).

Eventually, Zeus learned about their sidetracked missions and grounded the twins back on Karoj-Menos. Banning them from the stables and ordering them to never leave the planet again.

When pressed with questions, Zeus refused his favorite son the answers he craved for the first time ever.

Stuck on Karoj-Menos, a furious Archaenus lashed out at the underlings beneath him. Even picking fights with Dodros by threatening his precious Aeonia.

Until one day, his real mother Hellestine revealed herself to her son, disguised as his tutor Athena.

Invasion:

Meeting with his other siblings, Archaenus was shocked when his mother revealed Zeus' plan for the Pantheon to transfer their Ichor into gold cyborgs to circumvent the generational curse.

What's worse, Archaenus has been groomed to be the Pantheon's sacrificial lamb. The god-infused cyborgs would destroy Archaenus and his children before the new generation can destroy the old one.

Furious, Archaenus prepared for the coup by taking his real mother's Hamariot and marshaling the civilizations of children he fathered (with Aeonia's weapons, Dodros' Dodrians as commanders, and Iodium's mandatory help to drive him around).

Before Archaenus could leave, Iodium told Hera about his brother's plan and had her least favorite son arrested.

After the other Hellecians were arrested, Iodium broke them out to be their man on the inside. However, Zeus fatally injured Hellestine and nearly killed his favorite son with a well-placed lightning bolt.

Escaping aboard The Psygorellius and burying their mother on Dyloth, Archaenus formed the Patrokonoi-Hellecia and his efforts were instrumental in the successful sacking of Karoj-Menos and the overthrow of the Gods.

While mustering his civilizations of children, he found his favorite son in King Thesacles. A nobody farmer on Thessalis-Prime whose valor and strength mirrored Archaenus himself. The progenitor was so impressed, he adopted Thesacles as his heir-apparent and second-in-command.

It was the charisma of father and son that allowed the underground unification of Archaenid forces across the sector against the Gods and their Mycestian Stable Lords.

While Iodium and his Ionites collected intelligence from sympathetic gods, Aeonia equipped the masses with weapons and ships, and Dodros' Dodrians acting as unit commanders.

Archaenus and his Archaenids were the invasion that stormed the gods' fortress planet along with the rebellion that keep Mycestian forces occupied with widespread rebellion across the sector.

Leading Hellecian forces through the atmosphere, Archaenus and his Thesacles killed Gods, Titans, and droves of allied forces before confronting Zeus.

Archaenus put up a fight for the ages. But the eldest Hellecian progenitor died at the hands of his father, depleting the King of the Gods of his power and ultimately breaking the cycle by killing his son.

Weakened and disgraced, Zeus fled the battle and hid on Karoj-Menos. He would later be found with another one of his families and be killed by a contingent of Lanaxdrian commandos and Delot Drones.

Aftermath:

Following the defeat (subsequent murder) of the Pantheon, King Thesacles would bury his father with honors and become the first King of the Archaenids, Protector of the Patrokonoi-Hellecia and Commander-Ultimos of several Psygonaut expeditions aboard his father's ship The Psygorellius.

He would see his people through the transition of power over the Cosmic Aurora, the Perxis-Sadem invasion, the rebuilding of Neo-Dyloth, the authorship of the DTOS, and founding of the rising Delothian Collective.

And just like his father and the other progenitors, he would disappear from the history books as a semi-mythical king whose exploits may or may not have ever existed.
