Patrokonoi-Hellecia

Literally meaning "patron-league of the Hellecian state." The Patrokonoi-Hellecia is the loose confederation of the Hellecian tribes:

• The Archaenids/Delots of the Delothian Collective
• The Ionites of the Ionite Flotilla of Space-Faring Colonists
• The Aeonites of the Professional Guilds of Aeonite Craftspeople
• The Dodrians of the Lanaxdrian Warrior States

Related by blood from their shared matriarch: Hellestine. This league was established for the invasion of Karoj-Menos and was actually put into practice to defeat the Perxis-Sadem during their invasion of the sector.

Following the latter's repulsion, the Patrokonoi became a ruling body that dealt with matters of federal concern across Hellecian society.

Matters such as Ichor (primarily infusing new species), general defense of the sector (against the Perxis-Sadem), commerce along the DST Accelerator Lanes, The Final Hegemony or prosecution of any captured gods and/or goddesses, containment/deporting of the Lyxfenoid Brood to the Barbarous Zone, mediating disputes between clusters & officiating festivals in the glory of the Hellecian state.

As an agreement between the four tribes, all tribes must commit either 5% of their navy, 10% of their Hoplon Militia Corps, 12% of their income, or a mix of all three to the Patrokonic Militia Force or PMF.

Administered by an independent tribunal engineered to be removed from all political affiliations other than the Patrokonoi. This standing military's only purpose is to maintain peace throughout the sector and to act as the advance force against any sector-wide disturbances.

Any unsanctioned adjustments of forces will result in embargoes and ostracism from all meetings and events hosted by the Patrokonoi. This measure was used to keep conflict between each tribe a small scale effort and to promote cooperation between the four.

However, as each tribe chose to contribute entirely into one category than the other. The bargaining power of each tribe in the affairs of the PMF grew. If one tribe didn't like the ruling of the tribunal or the utilization of their resources, they'd threaten to withdraw their ships/troops/Ichor back.

To the point, a "walk-out" of one's forces became so common they called it a "Tetrimipta" or hackneyed fart.

As a result, the PMF became more engrained in the political squabbling of the tribes.

Following the Lanaxdrian Revolt on Thessalis-Prime, Lacdrian and Aeonite forces abandoned their posts and rescued their brethren from their Delot overlords.

By then, the PMF slowly dissolved as Star-Decks & Hoplon Militia Corps abandoned their posts to return home or even engage in robbing travelers of their Ichor or supplies.

The PMF held out until the outbreak of the war between the Delots & Lanaxdrians broke out. Each crew returned to their home clusters to defend their homes or conquer it as tyrants. Thus the federal powers of the Patrokonoi vanished.
