Lyxfenoid Brood

Made to haunt disobedient children and criminals as zombie/vampire/boogie men, the Lyxfenoid Brood is a large pack of mindless humanoid monsters who infect non-compliant citizens with Poisoned Femur Madness. Becoming part of the brood and doomed to live inside the hellish Barbarous Zone forever.

Bearing similarities to the Perxis-Sadem and their swarm of murderous drones. Lyxfenoids follow no master, consuming everything they can find with their massive claws and purple bile.

A single Lyxfenoid is 100x faster, stronger & tougher to kill than a single Perxis medezi drone. And capable of traversing the vacuum of space unassisted.

They cannot be cured or tamed. The only way to kill a fully-matured Lyxfenoid is by finding the vessel of its corrupted phosphoric soul and burn it away with pure fire from the Cosmic Aurora.

Characteristics of Lyxfenoids:

Most fully-matured Lyxfenoids possess heightened strength/speed/endurance, steel-like hides/claws/fangs, ability to survive in space, spew acidic purple bile, regeneration & resistance to extreme heat or cold.


The diversity of Lyxfenoids are extensive.

Factors such as: one's patrokonoi, family relation to the gods, level of inbreeding & genetics determine your ability to produce Ichor naturally after one's injection date.

However, based on data from the Office of Genetic Integrity, these same factors also determine how fast and gruesome one's transformation into a Lyxfenoid once a victim has contracted PFM.

Transformations include exposure of skeletal structure to the outside of a victim's body, one's skin turning inside out & purple, the addition/loss of limbs and other vital organs, hybridizing body parts into foreign animal parts (i.e. legs turning into flippers) & use of corrupted Ichor as Cosmic Aurora accelerants comparable to monsters from Greek mythology (i.e. fire breath, stone stare, etc.)

Specific transformations are hard to predict, considering information on these creatures and their brood is limited. Seeing as no one brave/stupid enough has dared to venture inside the Barbarous Zone to study them and risk becoming infected or ostracized because of it.

Boogey Man or Scapegoat:

While the Barbarous Zone is a real area with a rotational plane outside the Taygestronese, most Hellecians in the Attican Core Worlds don't believe in the existence of the Lyxfenoids. Claiming the mystic of the Barbarous Zone as a region of space for exiles, social dissidents & war criminals.

The real fear of the Lyxfenoids & their PFM comes from the social dogmas about barbarism.

While Ichor is the most protected resource to the Hellecians. Giving pure Ichor to an unwashed barbarian species in any capacity is drilled into the moral conscious of every Hellecian with the same severity as "drinking & driving" or "intentionally spread COVID."

The Patrokonoi-Hellecia (mainly the Delothian Collective) use social reforms and literature such as "The Symptoms of Barbarism."

Insinuating that PFM is both a physical & psychosomatic affliction. Making Lyxfenoids an evil anyone can become if they defy their patrokonoi & their fellow Hellecians.

Making Lyxfenoids out to be even worse than the universally hated Perxis-Sadem.

According to the Delot's "Office of Genetic Integrity," the only way to not become a harbinger of evil: don't give your Ichor to strange species & don't contract barbarism with non-compliant behavior towards the state.

Those who have contracted barbarism are to lose their citizenship and home. Forced into exile in the Barbarous Zone where barbarians can live the way they want.

Little does the Collective know, by proselytizing everyone into compliance out of fear for becoming a boogey man. The Council of the Ten Digits trivializes the DTOS' authority and the actual causes of PFM.

Creating a splinter group that refuses to believe the Collective or the dangers of the disease. Ignoring the real symptoms of PFM and prompt a second outbreak that could consume the sector from the inside.
