The holy Griffins

In the priest's scriptures, it is said that there once was an ancient war between the angels and the demons. Legend has it the war waged on for hundreds of millions of centuries. But once the war was over, the angels and demons were almost no more, but at that same time, the world was starting to get created, so the demons created the valmar, soul-sucking blood magic users who were created for destruction. And in return, the angels created the griffins, a bird-like creature designed to bring good and peace and use the power of the light.
The griffins are different from the other races because of their faith in the light nature out of all of the other races the griffins are said to be the weakest they do not fight with brute force nor do they use their holy light to strike an enemy. what they do, however, is either heal each other or summon light force warriors to fight for them. the griffons almost got instinct during the first coming but managed to survive due to their faith to the angels but the valmar still sought out to destroy the griffins even after the light age. the griffins, however, are the only race that turned their back on azir as they felt that azir wasn't a gift from the angles nor the demons they felt uneasy, so they left and lived on their own. Still, during that time, the griffins couldn't communicate with the angles. It felt like the angles abandoned them. However, they still could use the power of the light during the extinction age the griffins were spiritual leaders of the allied races, not just that they were also the best at healing without them the other races couldn't have survived the 1000 years of war.
The only race that didn't lose all their power was the griffins. They instead flew to the sky, promising to be the protectors of the ether world.
