Ebruaz Obaid, Duke of Marraas visited Aalam as he fled the Duchy.
Upon first arrival, his store and house had been vandalised by the people of Uyasha, with much of his merchandise destroyed or taken.
They appeared to have some kind of relationship.
Aalam claimed he knew more of Obaid's plans and some artifact, though he was killed before the information was revealed.

- Aalam originally gave the party a mix of true and false information, before trying to tip off others that they were Norgorbans looking for the former Duke Obaid.
- After intercepting one of Aalam's Mephits, the party returned to kill Aalam.
- Subsequently, they went to a Norgorban meeting with a local gem apraiser, Nemzain, to hear what he wanted. He and the other locals wanted Aalam dead. The party told him that by the time he returns, Aalam will be dead.
