Orcish Cogchair
Cogchairs are rare sights outside of orcish settlements, a feat of orcish engineering for the Steel Eaters and the Foundry. They are common for orcs with reduced mobility and consist of a seat resting on top of a chassis which also supports three wheels.
Cogchairs are manually propelled with two hand-pedals which the user cranks to move.
Cogchairs, like the different other types of wheelchairs developped by the orcs, are designed primarily with aging orcs suffering from Leather Disease in mind. Intended for temporary usage before being re-used for a different orc, they are rarely custom made. The Steel Eaters do attempt to compensate for any discomfort as a result of the standard by designing them with the potential for future user customisation as much as possible.
Weapons & Armament
Cogchairs are rarely used in combat, with few notable exceptions of their usage in seed clans where they are customised by the user with at least a mind for potential conflict.
Notable examples feature:
- Falschion blades attached to the outside of the frame pointing forwards.
- Spring loaded mechanisms to hide weapons of various shapes and mass.
- A pilot piece of wrought iron in the shape of an orc skull mounted to the front of the cogchair.
Armor and defense
Whilst lacking in armament as they are rarely used for combat, most of a cogchair's weight is in surrounding the user in a heavy and sturdy frame to protect from hits and wear.
