Item registration

Items in The Hollow do not exist only in their physical form the way items Outside do. Rather, items in the Hollow are typically registered to their owner, for convenience and theft-prevention. This registration starts when the item comes into being for the first time -- usually instantiated based on a template from the Wrights' Guild -- and can be freely transferred between Hollowites using a tablet.   Most items in the Hollow can be summoned (or dismissed) by their owner using a spell and/or their tablet. Those which cannot be summoned on demand can at least be located from the tablet's interface. Thus, direct theft is very difficult in the Hollow; it requires hacking the Hollow's systems, a dangerous and severely-punished prospect. More often, Hollowites may be robbed through deception, tricked into transferring their items to malicious parties.   Some objects in the Hollow are consumable. Food and drink typically function this way; while meals can be dismissed and summoned later, once they are eaten, they are deleted from the Hollow, and must be re-instantiated for another use. However, an identical food or drink maybe produced by licensing the recipe from the Culinary Guild.
