Arcanist

The Arcanists of The Collegiate Arcane represent the pinnacle of magical knowledge and discipline in Alwaus. Serving as advisors, educators, and sometimes generals, Arcanists devote their entire lives to understanding magic in an attempt to bring its awesome power under their control. While only the immortal Alvain have the perspective required to truly understand the nature of magic - it is not uncommon for human arcanists to spent the entirety of their careers perfecting the most specific of spells in order to prove their magical thesis. 
The Wizard counts the following skills as career skills: Arcana, Cool, Discipline, Operating, Leadership, Knowledge - Culture, Alchemy, and Vigilance. Before spending experience during character creation, a Wizard may choose four of their career skills and gain one rank in each of them.
