Obedient Pet
Your character has an obedient pet at their side, similar to that of seen from the Familiar Talent. Much like the Familiar Talent, your pet is bonded to you for as long as you choose, though the GM may decide to remove it due to mistreatment or other conditions. You can instruct the familiar how to act verbally however it has a simple grasp of language and cannot communicate directly back to you. The only action a familiar may take in structured encounters is to Exchange an Action for a Maneuver. It cannot fight except in self-defense, under the GM's direction.
Once per round, your character may use a maneuver to direct the familiar to take specific maneuvers during your character's turn, provided the specific action is within accordance of the established intelligence level as determined by you and the GM at character creation. The pet does not gain the benefits of the Assist maneuver to boost Magic checks like the Familiar does.
The pet chosen by this Boon should be something small and common-place, like a cat, bird, or dog - although special arrangements can be given with the GM's discretion, although people may respond strangely to character that brings a small Ironclad or a infant chimera into the local inn.
