Zuru Priest

A follower of the Zuru religion. No ranks, a priest is a self appointed title for those who seek to teach others about perfectionism and help others find or achieve their ideal perfection. Each priest has their own ideals of perfection, this can influence the way they teach. They are independent but if they share similar ideals its possible for them to work together. A zuru priest from Ipey often leaves as the teachings of the Zuru religion are already rooted and taken over their and they wish to teach and improve those who are not already doing so. Not needing to eat or sleep and with strong chitin thanks to mutations over the generations their travels take them all over the world and go as far as they desire or they might find a place they like and settle down to perfect the whole area.

Appointment

Their are no qualifications, requirements or appointments to become a priest of the Zuru. It is a self appointed title for one who wishes to teach and help others in the pursuit of perfection. While being a new religion from the Iphelele to the world, their is no reason any other being can't take up this title and follow the same paths.

Duties

The duties varies depending on what the person see in their own perfection but the core duties are.   1. To Educate, To teach people on the basic's of the Zuru religion and perfection and how their is an infinite number of perfections, but they need to self reflect and find what perfection means to them. Education isn't limited to just perfection, if someone has found their perfection or wishes to improve themselves in some way the priest can provide knowledge and teach them. Example: A farmer with no education wants to be better at business as he feels his getting undercut by merchants, but he can't read, write or count, the priest will happily teach them basic education on pursuit to better themselves.   2. To Guide, Those seeking to find their perfection or if found a way to achieve it the priest can offer words of wisdom, that includes ways for them to find out what they are looking for or others who can directly help them.   3. To Aid, Those who have found their perfection or might require assistance to help achieve their goals a priest will offer help if possible by them. The priest could help in numerous ways and if a meteorite was in their possession or one still existed in Ipey he would utilize it to not only benefit his own perfection but use his magical mutation knowledge to benefit theirs or guide them to Ipey if they wished. All Ipey members of the Zuru religion have medical knowledge and that of biology as its the bases for magical mutations, if a person's issue is medical related and they are able to achieve it they will provide their skills in lack of meteorite or direct themselves to someone with sufficient skills.   4. Inspiration and hope, those that have no inspiration in life or without hope and have given up are ignored by most members of Iphelele and normal members of the Zuru religion as they are considered pretty much dead without the hint of inspiration of bettering themselves or having purpose. The priests on the other hand will seek to give them inspiration, hope and purpose. Unlike other religious figures who provide charity, food and the likes the Zuru method is more self awaking which is a harder task for those without hope but results are far better then simply sustaining the person with charity. The methods that are taken by the priest and if it works is on the individual, it can range from culture like music art, to teaching, stories, lectures, medical work and so on. Example: A person who lost their legs in a city and has given up on life and society living on the street as they can never have a normal life again, the priest will try and show them they can still have a life in the city, inform ways on how they can still make a living, ways to achieve new legs/prosthetics and how to get around both physically with their disability and if possible use meteorite/knowledge to jump over their person issues as long as they achieve the desire to improve their standing and perfect themselves the priest job is done as they can now start achieving what they want on their own.

Benefits

Magical mutations, most priests have some sort of magical mutation benefit based on their perfection thanks to their studies of the meteorite. What benefits are typically based on what they see is their own perfection or a way to achieve it.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Mimic stone: priests carry their personal mimic stone and additional ones if anyone begins to follow the Zuru religion outside of skull island. It is an easily transformable stone and is manipulated to by the individual as a representation of their perfection and once achieved is easily formed into a metal to solidify their perfection.   The Iphelele need very little to survive with their chitin acting as clothes and money is an optional choice. Though they do carry medical supplies with them with most members have basic medical knowledge.
