Once known as Tharian, this is the lingua franca of the Infinite Empire, the alphabet modernised by the sister of the emperor himself, nearly a thousand years ago.
Everyone is expected to speak Common, even those the empire has not yet integrated into its embrace. How else are they supposed to do business with the empire's subjects?
