A single mom who works two jobs, who loves his kids and never stops, with gentle hands and the heart of a fighter
One of the founding families of Miercna, the Ehlert family is known for heroes, sagas, and chivalry. Jason was expected to fulfill many of those tropes, bringing glory to a new generation. In his early twenties he was a great knight and adventurer, a swashbuckling storyteller who dreamed of writing songs of his own travels, to match the tapestry of adventures that line the walls of his family home.
Jason was one of five, the second oldest child. All five set out on adventures. His youngest sister was killed by bandits, his younger brother and sister married and settled down in other towns in The Haim. His older brother went missing; nobody has heard from him in decades. Jason would be his father's only potential heir.
He returned about a decade ago after injuring himself badly while sailing The Quiet Sea. Soon after, he sent for his sons, Hector and Elliott, to join him. He's had a quiet retirement, writing songs and teaching swordplay and duelling to the children of Miercna's richest on the grounds of his family's city estate.
Earlier this year, he revealed a new ward to Miercna: Alfonse, a young Orcish man. The strong family resemblance between Jason and Alfonse has not gone unmentioned, but Jason still hasn't claimed the young man as his blood.
