Golarion

goll-AIR-e-en

The planet Golarion once orbited the sun of the Pact Worlds system before suddenly disappearing. Its whereabouts are unknown, and all memories and records of the world across planes from the last two thousand years have been lost for unknown reasons. This lack of information on the planet and the missing centuries is known as the Gap.

Geography

  • Diameter: Golarion standard.
  • Mass: 100% of Golarion standard.
  • Gravity: 100% Golarion standard.
  • Atmosphere: Normal
  • Day: 24 hours
  • Year: 1 years
Previously third of eleven in orbit, this blue planet contains vast oceans and lush green lands - the perfect environment for countless cultures to thrive. Indeed, Golarion was the most populous planet in its solar system until its mysterious disappearance.

Now, Golarion's crater-scarred moon, Somal is all that populates Golarion's sky - including a sun, which has had the effect of reducing daylight into more of a bright twilight. A normal cycle of day-and-night still exists, with Somal radiating soft light as it orbits the planet.

History

  1. 2000BG: Golarion is presumed to have disappeared around this time.

The search for Golarion

No one knows what happened to Golarion during the Gap, but all inquiries to the deities reveal that it still exists somewhere unreachable by magic or technology, along with everyone that once lived on it. No further information on the subject has ever been revealed, but whether this is because the planar powers are not telling, or simply do not know Golarion's current location is unknown.
