Nabokon's Bear & Beehive Inn
Don't mess with the bartender
One of the Pact Worlds' many Bear & Beehive franchise outlets.
Purpose / Function
Part of an alchohol-serving, bed-and-breakfast providing multidimensional franchise.
Design
The front door opens onto an open, if modest, rectangle. The bar is across the room from the door, and a scattering of circular tables with three or four chairs around each populate the majority of the space.
To the left are a few odd couches surrounding a screen fixed to a wall, which is blaring various sports. A free-to-use computer is a few meters to the side of the screen.
To the right are three or four curtains, quite opaque and mostly kept in good order. Each hides a private booth, usually used for discreet conversations away from the other patrons.

Denizens
- Bartender is an Enlightened Bear. Uses telepathy to communicate.
- Most of the other occupants are sun farmers from Fullbright. They tend to hang around the screen, or a few quieter ones might have a table together.
Hazards & Traps
Don't poke the bear.
Alterations
Some of the repairs seem to have been done DIY-style, by someone with claws and huge amounts of raw strength. Scrap metal has been screwed over the odd hole, and then spray-painted in a halfhearted effort to make it blend in. A few chairs are odd, seemingly second-hand and DIY-repaired before being installed.
Architecture
A rented store close to the ground levels, in one of the many skyscrapers. Made of the same light grey steel-mix all B&B outlets are, but with several patchwork repairs poorly blended in.
History
- 24/5/317: A squad of bounty hunter from NextStep assault the inn, attempting to take a datapad of exposing information from Tyrfing and Zanderbey. Arktos is killed to incriminate Julakesh, the heroes' new ally.
