A master of swords teaches Tyrfing. This was seen as a great honour - however this also bred immense resentment from Elves. Whispers spread that Kerillian had betrayed them, while a Human had stolen an Elf's rightful place.
An Elf by the name of Kerillian taught Tyrfing on Castrovel. Initially, Tyrfing hoped that learning from a respected Elf would help foster relations with younger Elves. This notion was quickly demolished - however, Tyrfing enjoyed the training and so was allowed to continue. Due to the Elvish xenophobic nature, this was a few steps outside of the normal routine. However, Kerillian truely cared about her student being the best possible inheritor of her style - making such things as age, gender, or even species irrelevant to her. When the 6-year-old caught her eye, the choice was made and Tyrfing was trained to make his sword a natural part of his body. This was seen as a great honour as being taught by a Master should be - however this also bred immense resentment from the Elves; towards both the Weapon Master and her Student. Whispers spread amongst the city that Kerillian had betrayed their kind while the Human had stolen an Elvish child's rightful place.
