Athletes' Guild
The Athletes' Guild operates much like you would expect, with a number of sports being commonly played in Wuxing, most notably Baseball, but Football is played too often enough worth mentioning. And there certainly are people who get invested in the teams that form, and the season of play that happens each year for both, but we know why you're reading this.
The arena has stood in some form or another since almost the beginning of the city. While the area of play has expanded, and seating has been added, and smaller arenas in areas further away from the center have formed, ultimately, things are much the same as they were in the early days. People get in a pit, start punching each other, and people bet, all of which is managed by the Athletes' Guild.
Because of the importance of the arena, the guildmaster position has almost exclusively been occupied by the current champion, with the few exceptions being rather brief, and tending to be the result of an unexpected death of the current champion to an unknown or unexpected opponent.
The leader at this moment is Sandy Ji, five time champion, and the best looking blonde for a hundred miles, if you don't mind getting your teeth kicked in if you mention it. A total hedonist, very much the eye catching, lady killer gladiator. While her guild is interested in the preservation of their power within the district, she leaves most of that to her advisors, being content with hosting her orgies and indulging in the best comfort money can buy. However, if something were to threaten her lifestyle, someone would learn why she has reached her position practically unscathed: she always goes for the win.
