Horseshoe Temple Oasis

Large and important Oasis deep inside the Quoya Desert. Located in a box canyon concealed by the moutain and valleys of the desert. Small stone pyramid stands at the opening of the canyon, making its entrance. Ample supply of pure fresh water bubbled up from the underground water supply. The most prominent feature of the oasis is the network of over thirty caves carved at various heights along the cliff face, that form the temple complex.
The temple is a important site for the three major religions of the east. The Way believe this to be a holy site as according to legend it was at this spot that the Heavenly Sage Hung Te Ping, stopped to rest during his travels between Shou Lung and the Celestial Bureaucracy. His horse was said to have struck its hoof on a large block of polished sandstone, leaving the impression that remains to this day.
On the ground level of the temple there is grottos to the Nine sages from the Path of Enlightenment .
For the Padhran religion of the hordelands, there is Halls of the Enlightened One and carved into the shelf in the cliff face is a massive statue of the Enlightened One, reclining and asleep.
Priests from Shou Lung inhabited the temple till a evil oni attacked the temple slaying the priests and using the temple as a base for his cult of the betrayers. Shou Lung was planning a party to retake the temple in 2609 SE but the Tuigan invasion then Lich Tan Chin washed away any such plans from the capital's mind.
