Dull and Practical
It felt so strange, so unlike her. Sure, in winter she would wear boots, and long-legged underwear below her dress. But a dress, nevertheless. And these dreary muted colors...
Calyrra sighed. Sure, he had a point. They had no idea what terrain would await them there. What dangers they would encounter. And if the recent experiences had taught her anything, then it was that running was very difficult in a long dress which essentially tied her knees together.
She looked up at the bowl of hair dye. Dark teal. She bit her lip, trying to keep calm. Of course, she knew that her appearance should be the least of her concerns right now... but then again, it was just another reminder of how her life had turned upside down lately.
Oh well, she thought as she reached for the bowl. Let's get this over with.
