Sentence Structure

Verbs

Verbs are placed after the object and before the subject.   Example:
  • Dotengi e Palru Golkiz - "destruction" + "in" + "exist" + "lesson"

Modifiers

Adjectives are generally placed after the noun they define. The same rule applies to ordinal numbers.   Example:
  • mitgu vumpami - "section" + "traffic-related"
Deviating from this rule serves to emphasise the modifier.   Examples:
  • Zem Runeki - "final" + "war"
  • Nonfi Nis - "empty" + "night"

Adpositions

Adpositional phrases appear before the main word, with the adposition in the middle.   Examples:
  • Ronekru Lu Apip - "existence" + "of" + "nature"
  • Larevok - "sky" + "in" + "fire"
  • Danokon - "tomorrow" + "towards" + "eye"

Notable Quotes

English
I feel deeply honored to receive this award. I thank you for the trust that you placed in Ub Lenliz Lu Kegmilut, and I am proud to say that we delivered on our promises. But still, the greatest reward is to see the plants grow, blossom and bear fruit after all these years. We have shown that this world is far from dead. We have shown that there is a future waiting for us. And I promise you - I promise you all - that the feast we just shared will merely be the first of many to come.
Te-Sakal, upon being awarded the Spring Crab Medal

Absolutely stunning. I would
1. Remove the shadow from the font in tables
2. Make the images (of the letters) non-links   But it's wonderful work

I've just seen this article now and I love it! I like conlanging so I always find language articles interesting, but I really enjoyed how everything is laid out. I think it can be pretty hard to present a conlang in a way that's easy to digest, but you've definitely achieved that here! The quote boxes with translation tabs on the side are great too.

Thank you so much! I've put a lot of thought into the presentation, so I'm glad to hear that it works. The quote boxes were especially fun to code, I'm happy that you like the result!
