Muvi
A type of grain, as well as the spicy condiment made from its seeds.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The grass plant has long, green leaves. Its seeds form clusters on the ends of a single, branching stalk.
Biological Traits
There are different subspecies which vary regarding the size and coloration of their seeds. Colors range from pale yellow and various shades of brown to bright red and dark purple.
The seeds usually measure 2-3 millimeters, but a few species produce seeds of up to 8 millimeters.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Fermented seeds develop a strong spicy taste. They are traditionally ground into a paste that is used as a condiment for meat dishes or as an ingredient for savoury sauces.
Another popular product is hato, a strong alcoholic drink made from muvi and honey.
