In Aolun, when Chryphóra is furthest from the Kaleidoscope, the planet-wide average temperature is about 8°C.
The equatorial zone stays rather warm at 12°C. In the deserts of Vélypholis and Héphamóhis, temperatures range from 2°C at midnight to 22°C at noon. Tropical regions still see temperatures between -1°C and 19°C, whereas towards the poles, temperatures drop to -8°C at night and 12°C during the day.
Weather
Snow falls mostly in the northern and southern parts of the continent. However, it is not unheard of in the tropical regions, especially higher up in the mountains. Temperatures there tend to sink below the freezing point at night, allowing for snow and ice which last until the early morning. Closer to the equator, precipitation mostly takes the form of heavy rain, especially near the oceans.
Icebergs and floes can be observed in the sub-polar regions. They tend to form near the Northern and Southern Ice, break off when it gets warmer during the day and then drift along the continent's coasts.
