The base unit is one pécu. There is a smaller unit, called the geglen, which is worth one tenth of a pécu.Appearance
Pécu coins are made of brass and come in three sizes worth one, two or five pécuné, respectively. Their front shows a number denoting their value, encircled in a stylized sun. A portrait of the Empire's current ruler is found on the back. Geglen coins are copper and smaller than a pécu. They, too, show their value within a sun, while their back is adorned with a sailing ship. Larger amounts take the form of paper bank notes. Such notes exist for 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 or 500 pécuné. A brass flake embedded in the left half of each note again shows the sun symbol, whereas the value is printed in the upper right corner. Below this number, the front of the note portrays the current emperor and empress. The back shows three ships of the Nimýric navy. The printing is done in blue ink, matching the primary color of the Nimýric Empire.
