Rowan's Glade
The few remaining in Daring Heights who were there for the Assault on the Twilight Lair might be aware of at least the location of Rowan’s Grove. A precious few know it for what it is now - a quiet glade of rowan trees atop a 100ft wide pillar of rock - roughly triangular with a large gap between it and the surrounding forest - forming an odd canyon with a river surging around it far below like a huge rocky peg was hammered into the ground. An odd location, with an odd, destructive history, now a place of peace.
When Duke Lust, half-Shadar Kai noble, established a foothold in the Angelbark Woods, he experimented with twisted materials from the Shadowfell. As a result, his fortress was a horrifying mesh of stone, shadow and some kind of pulsing growing life - not quite flesh. It formed a mound with huge stone claws reaching out into the sky atop this pillar, and from this lair Reaven spawned his Twilight - the Material/Shadowfell mutants that swarmed the forest north of Daring.
It took the full force that Daring could bring to bear - all their allies - to assault this fortress, and when the duke fell, so did the stronghold he was bound to - dissolving, crumbling and collapsing to the ground in a jumble of inert rock.
First, Daring tried to maintain a fort in these ruins, occupying it as a way to stretch their power north. That was when Rowan made herself known though. In the absence of Will, the powerful dryad was the guardian of the forest and was intent on returning this place to a more natural state.
A few misunderstandings later, and Daring ceded the grounds to her, and Rowan set about her work. Now, it is a seat of her power - a glade of rowan trees with no trace of the monstrous Twilight semi-organic lair that had once stood there. It has provided shelter to those in need on more than one occasion and with Will returned, Rowan has been able to ensure this site of evil has been thoroughly cleansed.
