The Order of the Crimson Fist

“We are the shield of the innocent and the blade of the righteous, The hope of the lost and the terror of the wicked.”
The Order of the Crimson Fist is an independent military organisation operating out of Daring Heights. The Order was founded in 1495 DR by the Paladin Varis Nailo following the Sack of Daring by the Orc Warchief Shammog Skinflayer and his Green Tide. It was formed initially of a handful veterans of the Daring military who had fought under Varis in the Second Battle of Daring and survived the following death march. Upon the re-founding of Daring, the Order quickly established itself in the ruins of the northern slums. Here they build a modest compound, with a barracks for the soldiers, a mess, smithy, stables and large training yard enclosed by a high wall of red stone.
In the weeks and months following the Sack of Daring, the Order was single minded in their pursuit of the remaining Orcs, hunting them down with systematic efficiency, and gaining much experience in small unit tactics. They later began sending soldiers to Vorsthold following Varis' work there for training and sharing of experiences.
The Order has since dedicated itself to preparing for any threat that may face the people of Daring. Its members are sworn to seek out and destroy evil, to be a force of order and light in the world, and to aid the innocent.
The Order’s sigil is a black iron gauntlet clenched into an upward fist and dripping with blood, usually on a field of red or black.

Here, in the sight of Gods and mortal peers
I pledge my life to the Crimson Fist
To protect to my last breath the values of justice, truth and righteousness,
To place the common good above my own,
To make my life a shield against tyranny and evil,
And to destroy without mercy those who would harm or corrupt the innocent. This I do swear, by my Gods, my life, my ancestors and my soul.
