Castleside

With Fort Daring sitting along the northern side of the walls of Daring Heights, the fact that this quarter of the city came to be known as 'Castleside' is hardly surprising. Before the fort's construction during the rebuilding of Daring, it had been occasionally been known as 'Angelside' due to its proximity to the Angelbark Woods, however over the last few years Castleside is what's stuck. The northern gate leading out to the woods and further to Kundar is naturally known as Castle Gate, with the fortress casting its shadow over it.
The area is mostly residential, with a number of neighborhoods having developed as the city expanded, including a few notable streets of dwarves. With the city guard to the south and the castle above, this tends to be a peaceful, quiet area of town, with a few of the nobler estates also located here.
