Reelonain Water Beetle

The Reelonain Water Beetle is a parasitic insect native to the ocean waters surrounding The Reelonain Constellation. The creature is tiny, about the size of the average man's finger tip yet it is dreaded by the most experienced sailors. Although not many travel to the Constellation due to the severity of storms, myth's such as the Roc and close to unnavigable sailing routes, the Reelonain Water Beetle is still feared despite these other dangers. Touching the waters that surround the land is considered a death sentence, this is because they are infested with this small creature, therefore when one wishes to attempt setting foot there, the expenses of water supply alone can be hefty. Once a persons skin makes contact with the water, the beetle will burrow into the person and into their organs, however this is just the start of the monstrosity they cause. An infected will begin to feel extremely sick as their skin turns grey and begins to transform into a rope like material, after another four hours a person will fully mutate into a Knot.
