Barony of Ninetaver
Contains Castle Ninetaver and the surrounding lands.
Territories
The Barony of Ninetaver exists primarily along the river coursing towards the Seaward Coast. The surrounding woodlands are rich with game and forage, and the farmlands fed by the river host many verdant groves.
Military
Ninetaver maintains a standing force in addition to their citizen levies. Their cavalry is among the finest in the land, and merchants across Banteave will travel here seeking to purchase fine war-trained horses.
Religion
The Church of the Six Saints maintains several temples in and around the barony, and tithe barns stand in many village hubs for the peasants to deposit the Church's share in every harvest. Many of these were damaged during the Tambar rebellion, but the Baron has been quick to repair them.
Agriculture & Industry
Wheat, wool, oats, vegetables and vegetables are common sights at harvest time. Herders, farmers and ranchers make up the bulk of the workforce. Some timber is also felled and sawn from the nearby forests, and wainrights fashion strong wheels for the carts that will haul their harvests to larger markets in Risevar and Redehall.
Trade & Transport
Ninetaver is riddled with roads between the dozens of small hamlets connecting the farmsteads to the larger cities. Some of the roads in northern Ninetaver passing through the forests are notably less secure, prone to the depredations of beasts or banditry. The Barony engages in brisk trade with the nearby baronies of Farran and Urre, and is a frequent stop for travellers headed north.
