The Kingdom of Barcana
The kingdom of Barcana is the only kingdom elects its kings. Barcana is known for their expertise in Alchemy. The Barcanian people hold their king to a high regard due to him always connecting with the people. The current Barcanian King is known to always be the vanguard of all battles making strong connections with his soldiers. Barcana also houses the Vidiara, School of Alchemy one of the three schools of Magic in Volara.
Assets
Due to their land being mostly swamp lands they have good resources on potion ingredients and potions. Baracana also trades a resource called peat.
History
Baracana was formed by several alchemist families who moved there during the Chaos Era due to its rich environment for potion ingredients. As time goes by many more people started settling in the land and eventually formed Barcana. The people were only able to settle and make cities in the coasts of the peninsula. Baracana is considered to be one of the smaller kingdoms of Volara even though its territory almost equals Yeven. Barcana faced many invasion attempts from Yadimor and Yeven but, they successfully were able to ward of its invaders due to the rough and harsh environment. The Barcanian soldiers took advantage of this and specialized in whats called guerrilla fighting using the other kingdoms larger force against them. Barcana is also known to use different types of toxins invented by Alchemist of Barcana in battles.
Territories
Barcana is set in the southern east of Volara. In the middle of the Barcanian Peninsula lies a large swamp known to the locals as The Bog. It houses many creatures varying from Bullywuga, Hags, and Yuan Ti's. Despite the negatives The Bog provides many ingredients for potion making not found anywhere else in Volara.
Military
The Barcanian Army has a small force of Horseback Knights which the king is a part of and acts as the vanguard, The army's bulk is its warriors and archers who specializes in Guerrilla tactics. The Barcanian Army is not capable of invasion but, they are experts in defensive fighting.
The Barcanian Knights rode horses to battle serving as the Vanguard on most incursions
The Barcanian Warrriors acts as the backbone of the army. They're the ones that follow up on the Vanguard.
The Barcanian Archers Serve as support units to the Warriors and Knights. Their general purpose is to provide covering fire and are mostly used in guerrilla battles when they are hidden.

Relations with Yadimor has risen in the years. Barcana and Atracia are strong allies due to battling together as allies since Era of Chaos. They havee good trade relations with Yeven and Sivia. The kingdom of Nord dislike Barcana for being good allies with Atracia.
