The Golden Order

The Golden Order is both a philosophical and theological movement being found on The Lands Between.

Description

The Golden Order is the largest set of beliefs on the Lands Between. It was originally brought by the many Two Fingers who preached of The Greater Will's blessings and the new order to come. The four largest symbols of this faith are The Elden Ring, The Erdtree, the Greater Will and Queen Marika the Eternal.
The movement follows two major principles. Those two being that of Regression in which:

Regression is the pull of meaning; that all things yearn eternally to converge.

And that of Casuality, in which:

Causality is the pull between meanings; it is the connections that form the relationships of all things.

While others Orders have come before, the Golden Order has ruled for thousands of years. It has ruled so long that very few beings within the Lands Between even know of prior Orders, let alone remember said Order.

An Order

While there have been several Orders, the Golden Order is the current one. An order is typically established within the Lands Between through the influence of an Outer God. The Outer God of the Golden Order is the Greater Will. An Order serves two purposes, the first is to worship the Outer God who gives it power, and the second, and most important, is to establish the natural "aspects" of the world. An order is more than a religion, it is what governs everything within the Lands Between. Incantations, Life, Death, Physics, Math, and Nature all fall under this umbrella. Thus, if a new Order were to rise to power, then all of these "aspects" would be subject to change as well.
The Golden Order was founded through the vassals of the Greater Will, that being the Two Fingers. An Outer God can not directly influence the Lands Between, and thus must find vassals to spread its influence.
The primary Vassal of the Greater Will is Queen Marika the Eternal, the goddess of the Lands Between and the head of the Golden Order, a representative for the Greater Will. Unlike the Outer Gods, gods are lesser divine beings who are able to interact within the Lands Between, and typically have the support of an Outer God. Queen Marika is the vessel of the Elden Ring, and thus the vessel of the Golden Order.
Finally, the Erdtree, a glimmering symbol of the Golden Order's power is seen thoughout the Lands Between. Its power comes directly from the Elden Ring and is a physical reminder to all of the inhabitants of the Lands Between of the immense power of the Golden Order.
