• Caravan traffic south from Thornward has slowed of late, moreso than usual for late winter.
• Barbarians from the Barony of the Horsehills are moving toward Thornward; other baronies also sending contingents to the former captial.
• There are whispers that Larrangin, Margrave of Bissel, is worried for his safety.
• Myrdian Oakarn, cleric of Pharlangan, gave an evil book to Zeke Snowmelt, and he passed this on to Argus, druid of the Everwood.
• Argus, a friend of Steigs Stand, has not been seen in the village for more than a month.
• A strange fungus, "grave mould", has infected forest creatures and some humans of late.
• Oakkar Ironeyes, a dwarf of the Steelhand clan, has been scouring The Barrier Peaks for his ancestral dwarfholds and want to recruit adventurers for the task
• A young Black Dragon has been seen in the Barriers.
• Whastle Fletcher's cousin, Stroth Anelace, is an advisor to the Margrave.
• The winter Turnip pie contest in Steigs is next week! (Jacksal Longboot and Mort Wormstooth are again the favourites)
