The standing general of Lelina's military is the leader in Linnistat. While they leave most governing to civil servants, the strength of the island's military is considered especially important at their main base.

The entire seaside of the military keep is lined with cannons and mortars to protect against any ships that may seek to invade the island.

History
Linnistat was created by the founders of the Kingdom of Lelina, the military keep being the first permanent major structure. The city sprang up around the keep itself until the capitol was eventually moved to Coflena. No longer the capitol, the city became the military brains of Lelina, the keep converted into a military base while the city continued to expand to meet the needs of the soldiers.
Geography
The city is on and surrounding the cliff that houses the Lelina military center. The cliff makes it incredibly defensible ensuring that no one has ever attempted to storm that keep.
