Tonal Magic

Effect

Tonal magic is the purest expression of spellcasting as an art. Tonal mages understand the ways that mere sound can affect the magical energy latent in the world. A solidly strong Spark is needed to get very strong results, and artistic talent is needed to make the magic sound pleasing or to be able to cast without being extremely loud. A tonal mage may cast spells just through words alone, provided they are spoken correctly, but it is difficult to cast strong magic with that method; so most who would use word components to spells simply take the path of the Arcanist and use other implements in their spellweaving. Tonal magic is practiced by bards and sirens.
