House Armannis is a noble house from Meidal. A much younger and newer family, the Armannis house has made a few recent plays for power that have effectively put them ahead of the rest of the city's aristocracy. The leading member of the house, however, does not have an heir, and while the rest of the houses fear him, they hold on to the hope that he will die soon and they may rise to power again. There are suspicions that House Armannis has ties to the criminal underworld of Meidal - potentially to all of Reuni - though no proof has been found of this. However, individuals who take it upon themselves to investigate this claim have often ended up dead.
Caisimir would spend the next few months having one-on-one meetings with the leading members of many of Meidal's nobility. He stayed away from House Vesette, recognising that they were falling on their own. His primary threat was that of House Escher, who had previously established themselves as the primary power of Meidal. While he managed to make deals with the rest of the nobility, the members of House Escher were uninterested in talking to him. For a while, there was a power struggle between the two houses. Eventually, this struggle would end with the untimely deaths of the entirety of House Escher - an incident that left House Armannis in complete control of the city and in charge of the remaining noble houses.

Rise of House Armannis
House Armannis began with fairly humble roots, a family who was given an honourary knighthood by the God-Queen of Reuni in 1913 A.G.W. They became nobles solely because of this, though they were not particularly respected by the rest of the noble houses, nor were they taken seriously. Still, they attended noble gathering and meetings among the aristocracy of the region, and enjoyed some of the luxuries that a noble title and estate granted them. However, this would soon change. Born in 1937, Caisimir Armannis soon became the new face of the house. Caisimir would make connections, talk himself into the most exclusive conversations, and bring respect to his house. He became the sole member of his house in 1959, when his parents were both killed in what appeared to be an accident. There were whispers at the time that this was the work of an assassin, but no one came forward with anything resembling proof.Caisimir would spend the next few months having one-on-one meetings with the leading members of many of Meidal's nobility. Whispers of Foul Play
While legally speaking there is nothing that could bring down House Armannis, there are rumours whispered in the corners of loud and busy taverns, passed between those afraid to speak outwardly. Some say they've seen carriages leaving the Armannis estate in the dead of night, the night before a rival noble would turn up dead. Others tell of private tutors who were hired for the estate and then disappeared. More still say that Armannis has sources in the criminal underworld, and that he has hired thugs and enforcers to do his bidding. One thing everyone can agree on, however, is that the Armannis house has handholds in every aspect of Meidal's life and citizens, and that going against Caisimir Armannis would be suicide.Notes from Saibra
Caisimir Armannis's ties to the criminal underworld are more than what most suspect. Everything he owns, from his power, to his influence, to his estate, can be credited to the influence of unsavoury personalities. He has his own personal assassins that live within his estate, who he sends to kill anyone he deems a rival - a not insignificant amount of people.
