Harbinger
Archon of Rot, the Roaming Pestilence
A once vibrant patch of holy forest falls into decay. Trees curl and bend as their insides are devoured and destroyed. Flowers wilt and die, petals sagging as they are pulled back into the dirt. A corpse of a fallen beast is colonized, inhabited by the forest dwellers that will lay all fauna and flora low and return them to the dirt. The air is filled with a gaseous, nauseating cloud, populated by spores from all manner of things. A bestial foot sinks into the mush the ground has become. The Roaming Pestilience brings with it inevitable decay and inescapable rot. As Oshozi extends his protection to all beasts, the Harbinger extends her rot to all within her path. Unlike common depictions of Oshozi, the Harbinger has been described – by the rare few who saw her and were not immediately destroyed by decay and rot – as a griffon-like creature with a feminine, humanoid head framed by cascading long, dark hair. Its name would suggest that it marks the imminent arrival of Oshozi, the hunter... yet a name might be misleading. No, the Archon of Rot does not precede the hunter. No, no... she hunts him. For the apex predator may believe himself to be the pinnacle of beasts, but all will one day be laid low by pestilence, rot, and decay.

Tenets of Faith
To Hunt the Hunter – Who rules the Forest? Is it the pack of wolves with their strength in numbers? Is is the mighty bear that stands unopposed in strength? No... look down below to the dung beetle, to the hive of fungus, to the leaves that are brown and dying. Decay will take the hunter. Rot will consume its flesh. It takes all equally and does not discriminate. For it is not the hunter that rules the Wilds... but the Rot that will take the hunted and hunter alike.
