Tolvaj

The Life-Stealer, the "god" of What Could Have Been But Never Was

If you have the luxury of hearing Tolvaj approaching, you will hear the clacking and creaking of joints and the tapping and scraping of long, spindly limbs... Yet, despite the inhuman noises, when you turn to glance upon the source of the noise, there will only be a beautiful, ethereal androygnous figure standing there with a welcoming expression on its face. Is there something that currently is that you wish never was? A deal with Tolvaj would certainly remedy that! As the Antagonist to the Goddess of Life, Tolvaj delights in interfereing with the Mother Goddess' region, people, and the dryads that lurk within her groves. It has a penchant for taunting and tormenting the spirits of Tel'Rhea's land, becoming quite giddy when successful. Yet, when entertaining a deal, it is incredibly charismatic and observant. If you witness its true form, you will see the results of all its prior deals: swirling teal motes trapped and bound within the rib-like encasing of its chest. Stolen Souls.

Associated Spirit: Tel'Rhea, the Great Mother.

Tenets of Faith

It Never Was – Tolvaj is a parasite on the Cycle of Life and Death... and this grants it substantial power to manipulate the Cycle. Those who wish to fall within Tolvaj's favor must merely find and make a deal with the Life-Stealer. There is no reason one should waste their time asking what "could have been". No! It never had a chance! It never will be! Once you trade in souls, the deal is complete. That life that could have been, never shall be.
Any soul you might invite into this world instead will be mine, from the moment you swear this until the end of time. And should I find that your fountain of life is dry... you will give me three names and they instead shall be mine.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

A collector of souls and a stealer of life, what could Tolvaj desire more than the font of life itself? What could Tolvaj want more than to control and possess the Mother Goddess herself?
