Vainheart

The Undying Tyrant, Lord of the Undead

The Undying Tyrant. Master of the House of the Undead & Undying. Vainheart. Ah'Shal's Antagonist was lost to history, records purposefully suppressed in the Goddesses' endeavor to eradicate the Undead plague. Records state that Vainheart was once a loyal Executioner in the service of Ah'Shal. Others go further still and posture that Vainheart was the son of Ah'Shal herself. All records, however, agree that Vainheart led Ah'Shal's Executioners against the swarms of Undead. What began as a purge of unholy undead turned into a sick, sordid affair whereby Vainheart began to hide and collect those he was sent to exterminate. The Lord of the Undead & the Undying now occupies a position opposite of Ah'Shal, forever opposed to her tenets and ideals. Once a commander of legions, the Undying Tyrant has retired to rule his House and observe his collection. The lucky (or perhaps unlucky) few that have met the Undying Tyrant (and escaped to tell the tale) claim that he is a walking cocktail of contradicting personality traits. He cares little for the living, cares not for the dead, and adores the undead. Should you share his interest, perhaps you might dine in the House of the Undead & Undying? Vainheart is supposedly a benevolent host... no matter how long your stay is...

Associated Spirit: Ah'Shal, Goddess of the Dead.

I abhor death… for undeath is a far more compelling end. But do you know what I dislike more than death? The living who use their every, pathetic breath to waste. My. TIME.

Tenets of Faith

Life in Undeath – Vainheart stands opposed to Ah'Shal's tenets. He upholds that the undead nature is superior. He stands adjacent to the Cycle of Life and Death; he refuses to feed into its continual turn. Those who seek to fall within Vainheart's favor pursue and uphold the virtues of the undying and undead nature. Life is merely the opportunity to pursue undeath... and death is a cold, dark tomb meant only to snuff out the light.
