Fable, Myhren's Spellbook
A journal of magykal power belonging to the dark sorcerer Myhren
Purpose
The documentation within this journal recounts all that Myhren has learned throughout their life. Whether for their own reference or another's, it is unclear. Their notes on various herbs, magyk, people and more are extensive; so much so that one cannot help but wonder who they truly were.
Document Structure
Clauses
With shifting pages and a scrolling table of contents, the journal itself is meticulously organized by people, plants, magyk, food, and more.
References
Hundreds of works are referenced throughout, with a scrolling source page in the back inner cover. From geography to politics, Myhren's immortality is hard to deny with the amount of information they have collected. Unless of course, you are a scholar that believes they are more than one person.
Publication Status
Myhren's journal is private, however, some have stumbled upon it in random locations for no apparent reason. When opened it seems to be empty of information.
Historical Details
Background
It is estimated that this journal is as old as Myhren: That is, nearly five billion years old. The mere fact that it has survived in such impeccable condition is proof of its powerful magyk.
History
A journal such as this one could have been used against the ruler before King Artwyn, if not for the protective enchantment protecting the inner contents. It is known, however, that Myhren referenced it many times throughout their life to heal the sick and wounded, as well as defend King Artwyn.
Public Reaction
Based on the ban of magyk in Caervyon during this time, it is likely that any who found this journal avoided it with disgust. Many would have been horrified to learn that Myhren possessed such an item, much less that they were magykal at all.
One belief is that Fable has a mind of its own, as it seems to appear in various locations at any given time.
This is a smart idea, I've been wondering how to go about writing spells for one of my worlds when there often wouldn't be enough to write entire articles on each. Having a spellbook article seems like a great way to do it!
Thanks! I'm definitely having a lot of fun figuring out just what my character would put in their 'book of shadows'. There's still so much to add for their journal, and it's almost like I'm putting articles within articles, but it works well for its purpose!
