1. The Mournguls Come

No one knew that when the Dark Chill swept across the land that it was merely foreshadowing the coming terror. The presence of great power oft tempts both the wise and foolish. The encroaching footsteps of living flesh upon the Isle of Shadow and Death has broken the chains of those who gaze upon the living with ravenous hunger. A familiar dark figure approaches you once again.

"It would seem that the world has become quite busy already hmmmmhehhhehhe?" Events do not pass unnoticed easily here my friend. Freeing the Mournguls from their prison may have been a bit dramatic, but is still quite entertaining. These beasts have been driven mad by their confinement, what will you do now hmmmmhehehe? Perhaps we can consult the cards?

The robed figure pulls out a set of cards and holds them in its gloved hands. It shuffles the deck and draws three cards laying them before you.

"Ah that is interesting. The Atonement Card foretells what might happen if you fail to act."
  • "Accepting pain as a way to survive the pain, not all things burn but some should."

"The Sacrifice card tells a tale of what might transpire if you ride out to confront the beasts".
  • "I have accepted my duty, and in my release have found freedom."

"Lastly, the Bride in a cage seems to foretell what might transpire if you attempt to enslave the monstrosities".
  • ""There is no white night, but there can be a black storm woven by fallen angel"

Well whatever you decide to do, you better move quickly. I am sure the ravenous beasts are not sitting idle while you ponder and plan hmmmmhehehehe."

With that the dark figure leaves you alone once more. How will you handle this new Peril?
