Ushat

Ushat is an Air Elementalist Shaman and the only daughter of Xunug and Batul, Chief and High Shaman of The Stormcaller Orcs.   She is an independent spirit, going where the wind takes her and interpreting Gromms will in her own way. She is very direct and curt in her speech, with no symbolism or ulterior meanings to her words. She is not deceptive, though she can be slow to distrust. Honor is a high ideal of hers   She has never known a time from when the orcs were war-like, and holds her fathers ideals in industrialization and civilizing the orcs. She is fascinating with human and dwarven engineering, and while she has no talent for it she finds it interesting. She is often skeptical of magic despite being a shaman, and thinks that magic gained through the "unnatural" sources such a sorcerers, and warlocks and wizards are something to distrust.   She seeks to find aid for her tribe, and thinks that a different way of thinking may be the solution. The Stormcaller has stopped responding to their requests, and the tribe is beginning to question the ability of their clan to lead. During this time she fell captive to some vile little creatures called Xvarts, who sought to sacrifice her in a vile ceremony. She was saved before this could happen, and vowed to help her rescuers in their endeavors, hoping they would return with her to Storms Call to aid her people.   Ushat followed the group and aided them in securing the ruins of Castle Vraath to the promise that she would be returned to her tribe. Before the trip west could be made, her allies found out that The Hand of Doom was preparing an attack on the Ruins of Whiteridge where many of their number lay. She agreed to aid them, and rushed off to meet this attack. Upon arrival it was discovered that a mysterious underground tunnel had opened and some Kuo-Toa had attacked, capturing some civilians in the process. The group descended into the newly discovered caverns, but it was discovered that this was actually a mysterious black dragons lair and she was slain by its breath. One of her companions thought quickly, and used a rare herb to bring her back from death. The group fled, and after this incident she considered her debt to them repaid. Not long after the Hobgoblin forces arrived, and she helped in the defenses where the enemy was routed.   She fights with a magical spirit blade and lightning powers granted to her by her god. While she is normally fearless, her recent death and subsequent revival have shaken her. Her desire to continue adventuring has dwindled, and she seeks to return home.
